MEAN WELL PSC-60 series, a cost effective open frame power supply with battery charging capabilities now available

MEAN WELL PSC-60 series, a cost effective open frame power supply with battery charging capabilities. In addition to the main output the PSC-60 also has a charger facility to allow for monitoring or battery backup related applications. The PSC-60A will fully charge a 12V 15Ah battery and the PSC-60B will fully charge a 24V 7.5AH battery within 12 hours.

The PSC-60 series is supplied with full alarm signals including AC OK and battery low alarm and can be driven by any external DC voltage from 4 volts up to 50 volts with a 30mA maximum load. If the main power source is interrupted the PSC-60 switches to battery backup mode, a TTL signal will be sent out to a monitoring unit to warn of impending unit failure.

If the battery voltage goes down to 11V (for 12V battery bank) or 22V (for 24V battery bank), another TTL alarm signal will be sent out to warn of the battery low situation. The battery backup loop will be cut off when the battery voltage goes down to 10.5V or 21V to prevent batteries from over-discharging.

The Mean Well PSC-60 series can operate up to 70C of high ambient temperature with only free air convection. Protection for PSC-60 includes short circuit, overload, and over voltage protection for the output side. Battery polarity protection (by fuse) and battery low cut-off for the battery side.
